01 / Who I am
How CorunaEvents started
Hi, I'm Álvaro — great to meet you!
I'm an entrepreneur (or so I think) who, like many young people, felt stuck in life. One of my passions has always been programming, and at 23 I decided to start signing up for activities to meet people and do different things.
Amid all the advertising for nightlife and typical plans, it was hard to find alternatives — but by asking around and digging, I started joining all kinds of activities: talks, creative workshops and hiking routes.
I discovered a whole new world, and met people who organize great activities but don't have visibility. So I used my programming skills to build a bot that added events to my Notion calendar.
A project that started for me — but when I showed it to people, it seemed really useful, so I decided to launch it as CorunaEvents.
In 2025, I set myself the challenge of "overcoming shyness" and moved from promoting events to collaborating on them and organizing my own, bringing my own philosophy and approach to leisure. A decision that, after a lot of work, led me to sign collaborations with the City Council and the University, organizing events that mix technology and learning.

Two workshops to overcome the fear of technology, with space to talk about ethics and digital wellbeing.

Outreach
If your event fits our standards, we design a campaign to reach people: managing sign-ups, newsletters and integration into our ecosystem.
Custom content
We produce a recap or promotional video designed for your channels. Always asking for consent, so everyone feels comfortable.
Facilitation
We make your event happen: we host, run activities and design spaces and content from scratch, with our own materials.
Technical support
Event website, attendee registration, email automation and equipment setup.
